Peace Be With You
My soul is troubled today! When I think about our world at large, I am greatly troubled over many things. In my personal life, I am looking out my office window and see a beautiful day.
I am personally blessed and yet I know that in many places there is much suffering. Where do I go for peace? I find my peace in Jesus Christ! I reaffirm that it is only in Him that there is peace.
My faith in His resurrection and glory gives me the hope that there is a coming age of peace. I want to be a man of peace. I want peace first of all in my soul.
This peace is possible when I put my trust in his promises and the power of the Holy Spirit. I want peace with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
I am committed to doing all I can in the power of the Spirit to maintain peace in the body of Christ. As much as possible I want to be at peace with the world around me.
I also pray for peace in our world. There are too many people in high places that want war. I would imagine most of us are just getting along with our own daily lives and we have to deal with our own troubles.
I get it! With the time that we are left here on earth, our call is to be witnesses and disciple makers for Jesus. This age could go on for a long time.
Our time could also be very short. Whatever the future holds, we need to be occupying the space God has placed us in. Right now we are planted here in one of our nation’s major cities.
We are a mission post for the Kingdom of God. My prayer is that here at Eagle Rock Community Church, that troubled people will find the peace of Jesus Christ.
